Exploration of role division in ant-like foraging for dynamic food source switching
Yuichiro Sueoka, Koichi Osuka
The series of our research approach on role division in an ant-like swarm colony. The designed ant model was inspired by previous biological research, which offers insights into how role division works appropriately for task completion in swarms. This paper highlights the importance of two-types of subpopulations for dynamic food source switching. After designing the pheromone pursuing behavior for food explo- ration, we analyzed the distributed food packet transportation by changing the number of each food source and the total number of food sources. Due to the word limit restriction, we present here only a simple description of our research.
