We will visit Alnwick Castle & Gardens, whose history dates back to the 11th century. Alnwick Castle has been backdrop for many movies and television programmes including Downton Abbey and Harry Potter. We will have an occasion to learn broomstick riding before entering the castle for the conference banquet.
Buses will depart at 2:00 p.m. behind the Sandman hotel, half way between the Urban Sciences Building (USB) and the Newcastle University Business School (NUBS) and return to Newcastle around 9:30 p.m.
All full conference registrations include a complimentary excursion & banquet ticket. Please report to reception should you want to obtain an additional guest ticket.
